The children enjoyed our once per week Movie Day with ‘The Lorax’
The library is an excellent place to get all those books I don’t have in my daycare. We got this book from Downers Grove Library to read during our April theme of Renew, Recycle, Reuse.
Some of the other books we are read this month:
Joseph Had a Little Overcoat
The Great Kapok Tree
Where Does the Garbage Go?
This was originally posted in 2013. Since then the activity has been repeated many times and a new craft added 4/25/2017
This craft was an easy activity that even the babies enjoyed.
The stalk of the flower was painted the night before using black acrylic paint. The following morning the children did the craft after, we read more of the Lorax Book. I teach infants and toddlers during the day ( 2017) so it’s hard to get them to listen to an entire book in one sitting. I usually break the book in sections or summarize the book.
