Earth Day 2013

April 23, 2013 By Lil' Bebe Academy Leave a Comment

A quick sensory shaker for babies to enjoy.  Grab some empty plastic bottles, some beans, pasta, rice, tape and your babies will be happy.   This was a quick Earth Day project that the infants enjoyed.

Use 3 empty plastic water bottles.

Add rice, azuki beans & pasta in separately in each bottle

Bottles almost ready to shake

I then put some tape over top to secure

Remove wrapper as the plastic paper can get loose and pose choking hazard for infants.

I gave it to my curious and active toddler to test. If it passes inspection with him trust me it is safe for babies. Well quality control revealed it needed masking tape, not the cellophane tape. So here I wrapped with gray masking tape

And the babies got their homemade maracas to enjoy
