Children love pouring from spouts. This quick fun and magical DIY for kids is perfect for little fingers. Get some large gauze, pipettes and food coloring ( a dollar store is a great place for art supplies), add water to small containers – drop food coloring in water, place gauze in a tray that has sides to contain the fluid. Give children the pipettes and the fun begins.Allow them to pour as much as they want…you can always squeeze out the excess fluid.
These two kept adding coloring to the gauze to their delight.
We then added an unrolled gauze to the tray to color the same as the rolled out gauze. The science of mixing colors – the more they poured other magical colors appeared from the red, yellow, green and blue.
They kept pouring until it was wet through and through. As I unrolled the gauze this beauty appeared. Totally loving the results from these little artists. Mixing colors is so much fun as it teaches children about blended colors.
Very beautiful and colorful. I hung them to dry, they dried out during their nap time of two hours or less. A quick one day project;)
The colored gauze was used to wrap some logs and other animals. Will continue on another post about these wrapped creatures:))
A fun arts and craft that didn’t break the bank. Have fun making these with your little ones – Miss Sue
