Add a touch of nature to your classroom walls. Make a simple swing from tree bark.
For this, you will need strong tree bark, jute thread/ twine, and a drill. When using the drill start with smaller drill bits before you get to the bigger ones. Starting with smaller will prevent the wood from splitting. After you’ve drilled the four holes..two at each end its time to string the twine. I strung from the inside to the rough side made a loop and back to the smooth inside area. I looped two set of thread on each side. Then I adjusted to even out and tied a knot with all four top strings.
Now its ready and can hang many seasonal items.
It was a beautiful addition to our fall wall but clearly, it needed content.
I added one of our Thanksgiving turkeys to the swing and what a difference it made to the wall. Happy Thanksgiving Y’all.
Have fun adding this swing to your classroom, daycare, office or home – Miss Sue 😉
