Kids Play – Cookie Cutter Meet Valentines Playdough

February 8, 2018 By Lil' Bebe Academy Leave a Comment

For lots of children play this valentines season…add heart cookie cutters to your playdough area.  Excellent for your kid’s playdate, daycare, school and sibling play.

Make this homemade playdough

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 3 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 teaspoon oil
  • 1.5 cup Water
  • Medium saucepan.

Add flour, cream tartar and salt to a saucepan over medium flame.  Add water, oil and keep stirring – then turn to lower flame.  Keep stirring the paste, if it is too tight add a very little water. Stir until it folds into a pizza like dough.  Turn off and knead on a cutting board.  It will be hot/warm be careful handling.  Add food coloring and keep kneading.  You can also add the food coloring to the water and oil and eliminate this step.

Items I used are added for your convenience.  This post contains affiliates.  I use this Wilton cookie cutter for many occasions.  These are color coded for the seasonal events and it’s a must to have in your home.  The cream of tartar you can find at Aldi’s or here.

Have fun creating – Miss Sue 🙂
