Here is an activity that will have elementary school children using eye and hand coordination, their muscles both fine and gross motor. We used some craft/cardstock paper the colors of the rainbow and had children punch holes in the paper. Children were making these punch holes with the aid of their tongue -sticking out while punching, eyes – opening wider to make the punch, eyebrows – knotted, nose – flaring, feet -pressed hard to the floor, and every other body member and parts actively engaged to punch holes. It was hilarious watching the children manipulate the punches.
For the smaller children..preschoolers it was a bit more challenging but with the help of the teacher, they accomplished some level of punch holes. It’s more challenging for the preschoolers and toddlers, as they try to master some level of eye-hand coordination and physically squeezing the punch hole.
Party, Party Party Party…they’ll be having a Party!! – for all the Elephant and Piggie lovers. This is another wonderful Spring activity or prelude to Spring. Confetti confetti oh la la.
Cheers to Spring…have fun making some confetti – Miss Sue:)
