Play for me, play for you. Play today, play yesterday. Today, I want to play in some dirt, in some dirt, in some mud, in some mud. I want to feel lots of dirt between my fingers, I want to cook some dirt. And yes, “I want dirt all over me.”Dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt…its my friend today. I want to play in the dirt. Lots of mixing, cooking and baking.
When your toddler is focused on playing outdoors…the dirt is many times their best friend. Why not get some paper and let them create? Here we are creating handprints…yes with dirt. Muddy play handprints.
And here I present the masterpiece…
Or this masterpiece 🙂
I allow children to play in the dirt. One of the conversations I have with parents is that their children WILL get outdoors, they will have fun, they will discover and most often they will go home dirty. We believe in active play and discovery. – Miss Sue
