Preschool Sorting and Color Recognition Activity

August 28, 2018 By Lil' Bebe Academy Leave a Comment

Inexpensive toddler/preschool activity that will help the little ones with color recognition, mathematics, and their fine motor skills.

On your next visit to the dollar store get a pack of paper clips (the large colored ones) and a pack of book rings (the larger size).

Have children sort paper clips by color and attach to the rings.  They can count while doing the activity.

An activity that will have their full attention.  This is perfect for those evenings when you will need to entertain the kids while making dinner.  Attention to detail is paramount at this point.

As each clip is placed on the ring it is moved in position to accommodate other rings.

After all the colors were attached the child closed the ring and was happy with the work.  Can you tell our color of the week?

This activity is one that can be used on a daily basis.  Switching colors or stringing a pattern can also make it fun.

As usual, have fun getting these items  for your toddlers and preschoolers…you will not be disappointed – Miss Sue
