My daughter is an avid reader and will read books all day if allowed. I taught both my children to read from they were four. They have a profound love for books, storytelling, and story writing. They both want to be authors. Well, Senu sees herself as a scientist who models and writes books… Hey, be that person, my love. Here is a bookmark activity for children who love to fold book pages. Senu loves to fold the book pages, even the library books. So this craft gave her and the daycare children their own bookmarks
Punch holes on a strip of paper, construction paper is heavier and that’s what we used.
Step by step.
Punch the holes, get some paint and spread all over the paper. The children painted in a container. Dry on foil paper, then laminate.
After paper strips are laminated cut strips and there you have it….all done. If you don’t have a laminating machine use broad sellotape / clear tape to cover the strips back and front, then trim the excess tape off.
Use for your favorite books.
Your children will have fun making these bookmarks. I love to encourage the children to use punch holes as these help their fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination. Another punch hole activity Type punch hole in the search menu to see other activities. As usual, have fun creating – Miss Sue
