A perfect fine motor activity to do with your preschoolers is to have them thread with needles. Provide upholster needles / craft needles to your child and have them thread / sew to their content. Please allow them to create to their likings. I know it is very hard for some parents or caregivers to sit back and allow children to create. However, to boost creativity and problem solving skills it is best to hang tight and watch the children create. Nothing is wrong with a little scaffolding or guidance but please for Petes sake allow the child to make mistakes and learn from it. The fun thing is that the project can be repeated many times over and they will eventually learn – haha.
Tips and trick – children are developing and each activity provides an opportunity to build on past knowledge.
