A creatively fun outdoor activity caregivers can do with their toddlers is to allow them to paint tree barks. Painting outdoors is always a great way to feel like an artist.
Before taking children outdoors, you may want to hunt for some fallen tree branches or barks, possibly the day before or the morning of. It’s usually a good idea to have the supplies readily available when doing an activity with children. They are naturally impatient, so have material ready.
What you will need:
Paintbrushes
Paint
Tree Barks or branches – remove the insects, grubs, or worms – yes they live in barks.
Baby wipes – if children smear the paint all over their little bodies.
Don’t worry about the mess kids make when painting outdoors – it’s sensory fun. Remember, mess can be cleaned up.
Have fun
