Repurpose those wooden pallets for your forest school / nature school. This is perfect additions to your outdoor classroom. Children love small world play, as they pretend and have many open-ended imaginative creations. One way to foster their play is set up play props as an invitation. Here I added some artificial grass which I purchased from Home Depot. I then added a false tree (tied to the fence for safety). Along with dinosaurs, hide and seek box which allowed the children to play even in the winter elements. Check your lumber yard for pallets or ask your neighbors to donate to your early years school.
This play area is loved and it creates many opportunities for learning – sensory play, digging, scooping, hide and seek, counting and stacking.
Children love sensory dinosaur play.
I am a daycare provider it is my hope that, you may find some inspiration from this website to take to your classroom.
