Sensory Play, Learning and Discovery!
A simple yet fun activity for the little ones
- Find a container – add water, flowers or other contents
- Freeze overnight or for two days depending on your freezer
- Remove from freezer
- Place in a larger container to trap the melted water (the one used for our play – from Home Depot)
- Invite children to explore …
How does the ice feel? TEMPERATURE
Can you hold it without it slipping from your hands? SLIPPERY
If held for a while how will your hands feel? IT’S FREEZING
What will happen to the ice if left for a while? MELT
