Building Early Years Math Skills With Pom Pom

April 7, 2022 By Lil' Bebe Academy Leave a Comment

Early years mathematics for your daycare, preschool, or homeschool.  Allowing children the opportunity to manipulate materials at their convenience, without pressure.  Here is a ten-frame object and some pom pom.

I was gifted this number board, I do not know the brand.  If anyone knows the brand please leave a comment and let us know.  I love this wooden board for tracing, touch counting, and number recognition.  I have observed that the children put their fingers, crayons, pencils, brush, wooden sticks, paint brushes, and other objects in the holes. This math manipulative is always on a shelf to which they have full access  – it’s always available.

Have you seen our other pom pom activity here

Have fun using creative items in your classroom – xoxo Miss Sue
